Interesting post as I had been wondering about live plants being grown in Mexico or elsewhere and shipped here. I don’t think it happens on a large scale with outside plants, though indoor plants are, i.e. “Lucky Bamboo”.

Trying to save money and keep the growth going some of the large horticultural interests are probably already thinking about it. In California we have such strict regulations I don’t know if it will happen or how soon.

As far as “eco-labels” for cut flowers that would be a great marketing technique for some florists.
