CONGRATS!

Amy: I am just finishing your book 'Flower Confidential' and have found it interesting, informative, and entertaining! I worked at a wholesale floral distributor for a few years although I was in their plant department. It was a tough business and one I gladly left behind! Now I will check out 'From the Ground Up' and 'The Earth Moved'! So little time and so many books!

In a recent blog, I posted about flowers in the Bay Area having little to no fragrance. 2 friends commented that this could be because they are bred for appearance rather than fragrance.
While I know this to be true, it seems that few plants in my garden smell of anything at all.
Today, I was shopping in North Berkeley and bought narcissi from a flower stall. They smell beautifully and I commented to the flower seller that so little of her selection had fragrance. She agreed and showed me the book she was reading. It was "Flower Confidential!"
She said I had to get it, and I will!
